Job SummaryPlan and supervise activities of personnel in performing service and maintenance work within an assigned area. Work supervised involves application of multiple craft disciplines which can include electrical, mechanical and structural as well as general maintenance and upkeep activity. The position is responsible for setting employee goals, assessing employee performance and providing feedback, and making pay recommendations. The role interacts consistently with operations and maintenance management, supervisors and staff, contractors, vendors and customers. It advises and counsels operations and maintenance management, contractors and customers. The position supervises assigned craft and general maintenance personnel.ResponsibilitiesReceive, review, assign and track Projects/Services and Preventive Maintenance work orders; make appropriate entries in the work order system.Monitor work/projects in progress; provide guidance and direction as required.Review completed jobs to ensure requirements were met; follow up as required and solicit customer feedback.Coordinate services with other departments as required.Maintain and approve time records; address and resolve personnel issues.Order materials and supplies; maintain adequate inventory.Perform other duties as assigned.Educational RequirementsHigh school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma.Required QualificationsSix to seven years of job-related experience.Other Required QualificationsThis position is on call 24/7.Preferred Educational QualificationsTechnical Diploma, Associate's Degree or two years of college coursework.Preferred ExperienceLead work in a multi-craft shop or organization, with three years in a supervisory role. Utilize Workday to manage approximately 80% of purchasing activities, including requisitions, approvals, and order processing.SkillsThis job requires skills in supervision/management within a facilities maintenance environment, including application of multi-craft maintenance processes and practices, effective communication, troubleshooting, and conflict resolution.
