Real Estate Counsel to join its sophisticated and highly regarded
Real Estate practice. This is an exceptional opportunity for a senior-level real estate attorney to work oncomplex, high-impact transactions for premier clients across a wide range of asset classes. The role offers access to robust resources, meaningful cross-office collaboration, and the ability to play a leadership role on significant matters nationwide.
Candidate Profile - JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record.
- Active Bar Admission in applicable jurisdiction, in good standing.
- 10+ years of substantive experience in transactional real estate matters at an AmLaw firm.
- Significant experience in real estate development and redevelopment, including build-to-suit leasing with work letters, land acquisitions, and preparing land for development or redevelopment
- Proven experience representing developers, owners, investors, REITs, lenders, and corporate occupiers
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex transactions involving industrial, office, retail, multifamily, mixed-use, community facilities, and data center projects
- Experience at a major law firm with a national real estate practice is required
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills, with excellent commercial judgment
- Ability to manage multiple matters effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Collaborative mindset with a demonstrated commitment to mentoring junior attorneys
Key Responsibilities - Represent lenders, investors, developers, owners, and other clients in a wide range of real estate transactions.
- Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, commercial leases (including ground and triple-net leases), build-to-suit leases, development agreements, joint venture documents, and related real estate contracts
- Lead and manage due diligence, including title and survey review, zoning, and land use analysis
- Coordinate and close acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and development transactions
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients, overseeing transaction workflows from inception through closing
- Mentor junior lawyers and ensure timely, high-quality client deliverables
