To view our full Statement of Faith, clickhere.ResponsibilitiesActs as a liaison between the foster family and the Child Welfare System communicating with and attending meetings with the Division of Family and Children Services Case Managers, Juvenile Court, Guardian Ad Litem, Court Appointed Special Advocates, School Administration, Therapists and other collateral contacts on behalf of the fosterfamily and the foster childEnsuresthat each foster family and foster child has the resources andsupportsthat they need to make the placement successful and beneficial for all involved, including being available to the foster family 24/7 for unexpected events or emergencies unless otherwise arrangedWorks primarily in theNortheast Greater Atlanta (Gwinnett/Hall County)areas and visits with each child a minimum of 2 times per month, one of which must be conducted in the foster homeUploads all required documentation in GA-SHINES, GA-SCORE, and Extended Reach within the time constraints laid out by both Sate and WinShape policyin order tomaintainlicensure and contracting requirementsKeeps the foster family informed at all times of case plans, permanency plans, court hearings, panel reviews, and any other meetings associated with the child(ren) in care as well as continuing education requirements and upcomingtrainingsConducts the actual placement of a child(ren) into foster homes,within the assigned service region,including participating in rotating on-call night and weekend responsibilities, to ensure paperwork and procedure are completed properlyTravelsthroughout thestate, with a focus on theNortheast Greater Atlanta (Gwinnett/HallCounty)areas,transporting children, attending meetings and court hearings, and completing visits with foster and biological familiesAttends all meetings and trainings required by theSupervisor, Case Managers - Homes, Director, WinShapeFoster Care- Homes, Senior Director,WinShape Homes,WinShape Foundation, and the State of GeorgiaPerforms other duties as assigned bySupervisor, Case Managers – Homesor Director, WinShapeFoster CareQualificationsSpiritual:A self-professing Christ follower, actively involved in a Christian faith community andactivelypursuingChriston a consistent basisCommitment to discipleship, prayer, and Bible studyServant leadership as modeled by Jesus ChristEducation:PossessaBachelor'sdegree from an accredited college or universityin the area ofSocial Work, Psychology, orthe behavioralsciencesProfessional:2-4yearswork experience in a child welfare settingAbility to manage multiple tasks, complex problems, andprojects simultaneouslyMaintains full time hours and must be present in the Atlanta office when not conducting field work unless otherwise arranged with supervisorMust be able to reliably serve foster families in the Northeast Greater Atlanta region (Gwinnett and Hall Counties), including frequent local travel and in-person supportWilling and able to work nights and weekendsExemplary planning and time management skillsPossesses the ability to use discretion and confidentialityDemonstrated outstanding interpersonal and communication skills including telephone, email, written documentation, and face-to-face communicationProficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook)Possess a valid driver's license andhas an acceptable driving recordPreferred:Bachelor's orMaster'sDegreein Social WorkWorking knowledge ofGA SHINES, GA SCORE, andExtended Reach database systemsNTDC TrainerCertificationLivesinor willing to work in theNortheast Greater Atlanta(Gwinnett/Hall County)areas#J-18808-Ljbffr
