This per diem role involves working directly in the operating room (OR) during initial site activation to ensure adherence to study protocol.Adherence to study protocolYou will act as a clinical and procedural expert, partnering with surgeons, OR staff, and research teams to support consistent and high‑quality study execution. This is a per diem, as‑needed role requiring flexibility, advanced clinical knowledge, and strong communication skills.QualificationsRegistered Nurse (RN), Bachelor's degree requiredStrong clinical experience in cardiovascular surgeryHands‑on exposure to cardiovascular surgical proceduresExperience with clinical trials or research studies strongly preferredMinimum 2+ years of clinical education, training, or device support experience preferredDeep understanding of operating room protocol and sterile field practicesAbility to educate and influence surgeons, nurses, and operating room staff in real timeAvailability for per diem assignments, including early mornings and full‑day proceduresAbility to travel regionally or nationally, including overnight staysStrong communication skills, professionalism, and adaptability in fast‑paced surgical environmentsComfortable using mobile tools for documentation and communicationPrimary ResponsibilitiesProvide on‑site education and intraoperative support during cardiovascular procedures within a clinical trialEducate healthcare teams on the proper use, handling, and integration of the investigational productReinforce procedural best practices while maintaining strict adherence to clinical trial protocolsDeliver education before, during, and after procedures to surgeons, nurses, and OR staffMaintain subject matter expertise on the product, procedure, and study requirementsEnsure all interactions align with clinical, regulatory, and company guidelinesComplete required training and maintain ongoing competencyDocument case activity and provide clear, timely post‑case reports and feedbackEnsure proper handling and care of any clinical support materials or equipmentRepresent the organization with a high level of professionalism in all clinical settingsWork ConditionsPer diem / as‑needed schedule based on clinical trial needsWork performed in hospital operating rooms and surgical centersRequires standing for extended periods and participation in live surgical proceduresTravel required, including early morning starts and possible overnight staysSyneos Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
