Director of Development: City Academy of AtlantaJob Description:The Director of Development is responsible for leading all fundraising, donor relations, and strategic development initiatives. This role is critical to the long-term sustainability and growth of City Academy of Atlanta and supports scholarships, operations, capital improvements, and program expansion.Key responsibilities of the Director of Development include but are not limited to: Fundraising & Revenue GenerationDevelop and execute a comprehensive annual development strategy aligned with CAA's mission and growth goalsCultivate and solicit individual, major, corporate, and foundation donorsLead all grant research, writing, submission, and reportingPlan and manage fundraising campaigns and eventsBuild and maintain a donor pipeline and long-term stewardship strategyDonor Relations & StewardshipStrengthen relationships with donors, families, alumni, and community partnersDesign communication strategies including donor updates, appeals, recognition, and impact reportingManage donor database and acknowledgment systemsStrategic Planning & School CollaborationPartner with school leadership to align fundraising with operational prioritiesForecast financial development opportunitiesRepresent CAA at community and outreach eventsCommunications & Marketing SupportAssist with mission-driven messaging across fundraising, website, and reporting materialsEnsure transparency and accountability in donor communicationsLeadership & Team ManagementLead and mentor development staff, volunteers, or committeesReport regularly on fundraising results and progress to the City Academy BoardModel Christ-centered professionalism and integrityPosition Qualifications:Required Qualifications5+ years of fundraising or development leadership experienceProven success in donor engagement and revenue growthStrong communication and grant writing skillsExperience in education, nonprofit, or faith-based organizations preferredDeep personal alignment with Christian education and CAA's missionDesired AttributesPassion for supporting families and Christian educationCollaborative leadership styleHigh integrity and professionalismAdditional InformationCity Academy of Atlanta (CAA) employees come from a broad range of church backgrounds.
