Description
- Ability to effectively apply paint and stain evenly, consistently, and neatly on walls, ceilings, and other surfaces.
- Make scheduled rounds of facility and correct areas as needed.
- Perform scheduled maintenance on equipment according to manufacturers recommendations and operation manuals.
- Perform maintenance repairs for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, carpentry, etc.
- Assist inspectors and contractors in testing, inspections, or repairs of equipment, building and mechanical systems and structure.
- Respond to all emergencies such as fire, smoke, panic alarms, and water leaks.
- Complete work orders and special projects in a timely manner.
- Keep maintenance shop and storage areas neat and orderly.
- Maintain tools and equipment.
Qualifications
Knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials, and application techniques common to the painting trade. General knowledge of building and mechanical systems. Ability to operate hand and power tools and equipment and read common measuring instruments. Experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting. Must be able to read, write, and follow written and verbal directions. Must have ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the physical plant unit.
