Our Claims teams are proven problem solvers, delivering consistent technical excellence and showcasing our service differentiation to create an unparalleled global claims handling experience.Responsibilities Manage the Hull, Light Aviation and Vertical Unit team, including direct reporting to a team of approximately eight adjustors located throughout the US.Serve as a people manager and technical referral point for the North American Aerospace claim team.Lead client and broker engagement activities while maintaining internal stakeholder reporting, identifying loss trends and risk‑management opportunities.Develop talent within the team and ensure operational excellence.Adjust a selection of the department's most complex claims.Collaborate with NA Aerospace Claim leaders, global and North American underwriting business leads, and stakeholders to deliver a consistent, efficient and customer‑centric claim proposition.Delegate reserving, payment and settlement authority to claim team members in accordance with Global guidelines.Maintain compliance with established AIG Litigation Claim guidelines and coordinate engagement with the AIG Legal department, including hosting cross‑functional litigated claim file roundtables.Work closely with Specialty leadership and the Head of NA Aerospace Claims to ensure appropriate resource levels and skill sets for the claim portfolio.Provide timely and accurate reporting of major claim casualties and catastrophes.Establish and maintain strong relationships with underwriting, actuaries, finance, reinsurance, customers and brokers.Support underwriting partners in account management and new business development.Review existing best‑practice guidelines and claim adjustment procedures, recommend improvements, and ensure process effectiveness.Support training, recruiting, and talent development to maintain superior claim team skills.Lead the company's North American Aerospace claim industry thought leadership through seminars, programs and industry events.Identify and report claim trends, lessons learned and risk‑management opportunities to relevant stakeholders.Support the Head of NA Aerospace Claims on assigned projects and initiatives.Ensure compliance with all appropriate governmental regulatory and AIG Corporate claims governance guidelines.Qualifications Proven leadership and personnel management skills.Extensive Aerospace general aviation claim management experience.Demonstrated ability to manage a broad range of stakeholders across functions and geographies.Highly collaborative approach, with the ability to influence team and stakeholders across North America.Strong technical Aerospace claim capability, with the ability to oversee AIG's North American Aerospace claim portfolio.Established positive reputation and market presence in Aerospace Insurance claim management.Ability to manage and minimise the total cost of Aerospace claims.Benefits Our Total Rewards Program is a comprehensive benefits package that extends beyond time spent at work, focusing on your health, wellbeing, financial security, and professional development.Equal Opportunity Employment AIG provides equal opportunity to all qualified individuals regardless of race, color, religion, age, gender, gender expression, national origin, veteran status, disability or any other legally protected categories.
