Job Description Job Summary:
The Echo/Ultrasound/Sonographer will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. They will operate ultrasound equipment and ensure high-quality imaging under established safety and operational protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic echocardiograms and ultrasounds according to physician orders and institutional guidelines.
- Operate ultrasound equipment, adjusting settings to obtain optimal images.
- Review patient history and explain procedures to ensure patient comfort and compliance.
- Maintain accurate documentation of ultrasound procedures and findings.
- Ensure equipment safety checks and proper maintenance are conducted regularly.
- Collaborate with medical staff to interpret imaging results and support diagnoses.
Qualifications:
- Hold an ARDMS certification in Echocardiography or Ultrasound.
- Possess at least 1 year of recent clinical experience performing echocardiograms or ultrasounds.
- Hold a valid state ultrasound technologist license or certification, as required.
- Demonstrate proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment and understanding of cardiac and vascular imaging.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
