The Digital Manufacturing team plays a pivotal role in optimizing manufacturing operations through implementation and management and advanced digital solutions. The team ensures that manufacturing processes are efficient, scalable, and integrated with the latest industry standards.About the RoleAs a Manufacturing Systems Specialist, your primary responsibility is to respond to reported manufacturing support incidents submitted by internal company stakeholders within global manufacturing user base. The right person will own the intake, evaluation, debug, escalation, communications, and tracking of reported incidents. The user base supported by this role is primarily manufacturing engineers and senior manufacturing technicians. Support case duration and technical complexity will range widely.ResponsibilitiesServe as the critical bridge between production operations and digital manufacturing systems (PLM/ERP/MES), identifying and resolving software issues that impact production efficiency.Monitor intake of reported software problems across multiple manufacturing platforms.Conduct root cause analysis by observing actual manufacturing processes and how they interact with digital systems to identify disconnects between software functionality and production needs.Evaluate urgency, impact, and scope of reported incidents based on real manufacturing constraints and production schedules.Escalate to engineering support when required and provide clear operational context to software development about manufacturing realities.Work directly with manufacturing engineers and technicians and regularly visit the production floor to understand operational context.Collaborate directly with software development teams, enterprise solution architects, and manufacturing subject matter experts to drive comprehensive solutions.Propose new functionality or process improvements that would enhance the operator experience, streamline production workflows, and reduce support needs.Proactively identify potential unreported problems by regularly observing production processes and analyzing system data patterns.Create and maintain standard operating procedures for new feature workflows.Develop workarounds and best practices that accommodate both system limitations and production requirements.Lead and coordinate training for new feature rollouts.Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders across the business.Required Qualifications2+ years in technical support, deployment, or system maintenance roles.Hands‑on debugging expertise with integrated enterprise systems, including MES, ERP, PLM.Demonstrated ability to multitask competing support demands in a fast‑paced environment.Functional understanding of basic manufacturing concepts, processes, and terminology, and how they relate to software tools and data objects.History of collaborative engagement with software engineers.CompensationUS Hourly Range: $25—$33 USD.The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education, and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
