Commercial Real Estate Attorney
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated commercial real estate attorney with 2–5 years of experience to join our expanding commercial real estate practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background and an interest or background in representing developers, builders, and real estate investors in a variety of real estate projects, including condominiums, mixed-use developments, and master-planned communities. This role is ideal for a candidate who enjoys problem solving and thrives in a collaborative environment serving sophisticated commercial real estate development clients. Familiarity with construction, homebuilding, real estate acquisition and development, real estate investment or similar areas is a plus but not required.
Key Responsibilities
Represent developers, builders, and investors in commercial and residential real estate developments, with a particular focus on:
- Condominiums (commercial, mixed-use, and residential);
- Master-planned and mixed-use developments;
- Complex ownership structures;
- Easements and cost-sharing agreements; and,
- Development agreements and restrictive covenants.
Draft, negotiate, and review a broad range of real estate documents, including:
- Declarations and related association governing documents;
- Purchase and sale agreements;
- Development and operating agreements;
- Easements, cost sharing and shared-use arrangements; and
- Financing-related documentation.
Advise clients on regulatory and operational issues unique to development projects.
· Communicate directly with clients, consultants, and opposing counsel, demonstrating professionalism and clarity.
Required Qualifications
· JD from an accredited law school and membership in good standing with State Bar of Georgia.
· Excellent legal writing, drafting, and analytical skills – law review experience preferred.
· Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain a calm, steady, solutions-oriented demeanor under deadlines.
· Proven ability to manage multiple projects and client needs simultaneously.
Preferred Experience
Prior experience with:
- Condominium law, master-planned communities, mixed-use development complex real estate structuring;
- Corporate structuring;
- Land acquisition;
- Development entitlement issues; and/or
- Homebuilding and construction.
Strong bonus potential if the candidate can quickly take on work independently to meet billable goal requirements
