Job Description Med Surg RN - Acute Neuro UnitAssignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule Shift: 12-hour Nights, 1900-0730, Monday to Sunday.
Job Description The Med Surg RN will provide care in the Acute Neuro Unit, focused on patients recovering from neurosurgery, neurology-related issues, and other surgeries. The role involves collaborating with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while ensuring a high standard of practice.
Responsibilities- Deliver nursing care to patients recovering from acute illnesses or surgeries.
- Perform ongoing assessments and evaluations of patient conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Educate patients and families on care plans and self-management strategies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience within the Med Surg RN specialty.
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
- NIHSS certification is also mandatory.
