Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Atlanta, GA for an Associate Attorney in the Probate Practice area. The role involves advising clients on probate matters, managing a variety of probate cases, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and providing guidance on estate planning. The Associate Attorney will also engage in client consultations, represent clients in court proceedings, and collaborate with team members to achieve optimal outcomes. There will be some litigation involved in contested probate proceedings, guardianship and some trust litigation from time to time.

Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Atlanta, GA for an Associate Attorney in the Probate Practice area. Perigon has 4 offices currently and expanding so this position may travel to the offices as necessary. The role involves advising clients on probate matters, managing a variety of probate cases, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and providing guidance on estate planning. The Associate Attorney will also engage in client consultations, represent clients in court proceedings, and collaborate with team members to achieve optimal outcomes. This role has a potential leadership path as the firm is expanding and opening new offices. Additional attorneys will be needed and this role could be supervisory in the future.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Probate Law and general Legal Practice; 3-5 years minimum experience required
- Experience with all facets of the Probate code and litigation tactics
- Strong Research and Legal Writing skills
- Effective Negotiation skills and ability to resolve disputes
- Probate or Civil trial experience
- Solid organizational, time management, and analytical abilities
- Active license to practice law in the state of Georgia
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with clients and colleagues
- Previous experience in probate, estate planning, or real estate law (preferred but not required)
