What You'll Do
- Conducting comprehensive assessments, reviewing medical histories, and evaluating test results
- Developing and updating individualized exercise prescriptions based on AACVPR, ACSM, ATS, and AARC guidelines
- Leading patients through structured rehabilitation sessions, providing coaching, motivation, and real-time feedback
- Monitoring physiologic responses, including accurate recognition and interpretation of EKG abnormalities and arrhythmias
- Identifying health risks, fall risks, and limitations—modifying exercise plans to ensure safety
- Taking appropriate preventive or emergency action in response to adverse patient reactions
- Educating patients and families using adult learning principles and behavior-change strategies
- Supporting patients in developing self-management goals and tracking progress
- Serving as case manager from initial assessment to successful program completion
- Participating in departmental safety initiatives and continuous quality improvement
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science
- Current BCLS certification
- ACLS certification or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire
