Join Our Team as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - General Surgery
Are you passionate about making a difference in surgical care? We are seeking dedicated Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to become vital members of our surgical team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic hospital setting, supporting a busy OR performing 90-110 cases weekly across general surgery and subspecialties like Orthopedics, Ob/Gyn, Urology, and ENT. Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid NP or PA license with applicable state certification
- Proven experience in surgical settings, preferably in general surgery and related specialties
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, patient assessment, and post-operative care
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to handle a high-volume caseload and adapt to emergent situations
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience performing or assisting in complex surgical cases
- Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
- Familiarity with hospital electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Master's degree in Nursing (NP) or Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program
- Minimum of 2 years of surgical or hospital-based clinical experience
Other Requirements:
- Availability to work M-F, approximately 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, with potential rotating weekends
- Willingness to assist in the operating room during scheduled cases; no outpatient clinic responsibilities
- No call duties required; cases may occasionally extend past regular hours
