Our work powers communities, supports major utilities, and drives the next generation of energy technology.About the RoleAs a Senior Substation Physical Design Engineer, you will lead teams and/or contribute to project teams to develop custom engineering solutions that directly support our customers' toughest challenges. This position is ineligible for employment Visa sponsorship.What You'll DoThe conceptual, preliminary and final detailed design of new, upgraded and expanded medium voltage and high voltage systems including: Electrical Arrangement, Electrical Sections (Elevations), Electrical Connection Details, Below Grade Conduit Plan and Details, Cable Trench Plan and Details, Equipment Grounding Plan and Details, Lightning Protection Plan, Outdoor Illumination Plan, Detailed Bill of Material, Electrical GroundingSpecification and purchase of equipmentDesign and construction estimatesWorking on project teams supporting all quality and project management goalsLeading, planning, and coordinating projects with limited supervisionUnderstanding and delivering results based on client specific standards and requirementsTraining and developing junior personnelLeading project teams and interfacing with the customer to deliver a quality product by scheduled delivery dateAct as the OE (Owner's Engineer) responsible for reviewing designs and supplying design team with requested information to complete a projectMaintain and update engineering standards to ensure high quality productsAssist with Project management to deliver projects on time and within budgetWork with Clients, Salesman, Managers and Engineers to coordinate project designsWork with sub-consultant(s) to coordinate deliverablesAn ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, organizational, and planning skills while excelling in a team-based environment.
