We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Mortgage Banker Assistant to support a high-performing Senior Mortgage Banker. In this role, you will play an important part in delivering a smooth, organized, and positive experience for our clients throughout the home financing process.
All business is generated through trusted referral relationships, allowing you to focus on what matters most-supporting the team, guiding borrowers, and helping each loan move efficiently from application to closing.

What you'll be doing
- Partnering closely with the Senior Mortgage Banker to support the loan process from application through closing.
- Serving as a consistent and responsive point of contact for clients, helping answer questions and provide updates.
- Collecting, reviewing, and organizing borrower documentation to ensure complete and accurate loan files.
- Assisting with pre-approval letters as needed.
- Assisting with ordering appraisals, title, and insurance as directed.
- Tracking key milestones, contract deadlines, and closing timelines to keep loans on schedule.
- Supporting the preparation and submission of loan files to processing and underwriting.
- Communicating effectively with internal teams, including processing, underwriting, and closing.
- Proactively following up on outstanding conditions and documentation.
- Assisting with post-closing follow-up, including client communication and thank-you touches.
- Helping deliver a high-quality, relationship-focused client experience.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
What you'll bring - 1-3 years' experience in mortgage, banking, or a related field preferred
- Working knowledge of mortgage loan programs is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- A team player who values collaboration and accountability
- Commitment to providing an exceptional client experience
- Willingness to obtain a Georgia MLO license if not currently licensed
