The opportunity:
The Payroll Supervisor is responsible for overseeing processing activities and resources involved in ensuring accurate payroll processing for approximately 10,000 U.S. salaried employees. The Payroll Supervisor is responsible for all aspects of each salaried pay cycle, including pay calculation, pay confirmation, reporting, and payroll system integrations to ensure an accurate and timely payroll.
This role has direct supervisory responsibility for the Salary Payroll team and serves as the primary point of contact for salaried payroll escalations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Lead and oversee U.S. salaried payroll operations, including payroll preparation, validation, confirmation, post-payroll reconciliation, and issue resolution
Supervise and develop the Salary Payroll team, including coaching, performance management, feedback, and disciplinary actions when appropriate
Serve as the escalation point and subject matter expert for complex salaried payroll matters, including executive pay components and non-standard earnings
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations related to salaried payroll
Ensure SOX compliance and strong operational controls and support internal and external audits
Coordinate and perform system testing related to payroll system updates, quarterly tax updates, and other system enhancements impacting salaried payroll
Oversee annual and special payroll processes, including:
Annual bonus payroll processing
Annual relocation payroll file processing
Equity-related payroll transactions (e.g., stock transactions) requiring a strong understanding of payroll taxability and reporting
Expatriate payroll processing, including coordination with vendors and internal partners
Supplemental Executive Retirement Plan processing
Retiree payroll processing
Partner closely with Payroll Leadership, HR, Total Rewards, Legal, Tax, and Finance on salaried payroll matters and special pay events
Conduct root-cause analysis on errors or discrepancies and drive continuous process improvements
Maintain and improve payroll procedures and documentation specific to salaried payroll processes
Ensure accurate reporting, reconciliation, and funding related to salaried payroll cycles
Communicate proactively with stakeholders regarding payroll timelines, issues, and resolutions
What you need to succeed:
3-5 years of experience leading, developing, and supporting payroll teams
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in full-cycle payroll processing, with a strong focus on salaried payroll
Deep knowledge of payroll tax regulations, accounting principles, and federal, state, and local wage and tax laws impacting employees
Experience with complex payroll scenarios, including bonuses, equity compensation, executive pay components, and retirees
Strong understanding of payroll system functionality and downstream impacts of payroll inputs and transactions
Experience supporting SOX controls and payroll audits
FPC certification and supervisory payroll experience preferred
Associate\u2019s degree or equivalent experience; Bachelor\u2019s degree preferred
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, reconciliations, and reporting
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage competing priorities, meet strict deadlines, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner effectively with cross-functional stakeholders
Experience with PeopleSoft payroll system preferred
