A leading Southeastern law firm is seeking an ambitious Associate Attorney, Counsel, and/or Junior Partner to join our Eminent Domain & Condemnation Practice in either our Atlanta, GA; Columbia, Charleston, Spartanburg, and Greenville, South Carolina; Charlotte and Raleigh, NC; and/or Washington, DC offices. This is an exciting opportunity for ambitious attorneys seeking to handle litigation, zoning, and condemnation matters related to a broad range of real estate assets, working alongside seasoned professionals on eminent domain and condemnation matters in a profitable team within a steadily growing firm.

Candidate Profile

JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
Active Bar Admission in the state where practicing, in good standing
At least two years of experience in commercial real estate related litigation, some experience in eminent domain, condemnation, and zoning and a demonstrated interest in eminent domain issues and condemnation procedures across the Carolinas and Georgia.
Direct experience in any of the following commercial real estate-related practice areas: eminent domain/condemnation, property rights, land use, zoning/entitlements, real estate development, commercial real estate transactions (excluding residential closings), or real estate litigation.
Proficiency in handling hearings, discovery, and depositions is essential.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills are required, along with the ability to multitask and synthesize complex legal research.
An interest in a high-volume, litigation-based practice is crucial, as the candidate must be adept at managing multiple matters and maintaining organization.
Georgia or DC bar is a plus (NC or SC bar preferred).

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: Expected base salary range starts at $200,000 for associates, determined by experience and market factors
